Radiation measurement system (RMS)-0640 – RMS-0660

If you want to measure the performance of your antenna within minutes then the RMS-0640 – RMS-0660 is the tool for you. The radiation measurement system (RMS) is a compact tool that includes a rotation table, measurement antenna, receiver, and application software. This system has the capability to measure 3-axis radiation patterns in non-anechoic spaces.

The design of the RMS-0640 – RMS-0660 system is such that it reduces the sensitivity for reflections, which is a factor that affects measurements. This permits the radiation measurements to be made in a small lab or office space.

The RMS system itself has an accuracy of ± 1dB. In a reasonable space, one can expect an extra uncertainty of 1 or 2 dB. The repeatability of measurements is excellent at ±0.5 dB. No user calibration is required.

It has a frequency range from, as low as, 370 MHz up to 6 GHz and can measure multiple patterns at the same time. This system is optimal for characterising and measuring antenna radiation patterns, antenna gain, ERP, TRP, and field strength. Additionally, the results from these measurements are represented in 3D.

The RMS-0640 – RMS-0660 can be used to examine a variety of wireless devices, such as IoT devices, routers, phones, domotica products, electronic gadgets, tablets, laptops, RF modules, etc. This system is compact, saves on time-consuming range tests and test lab measurement, and enables accurate evaluation of wireless devices.

Highlights:

  • Measure antenna radiation patterns, TRP, efficiency, directivity, and more
  • Fits in lab or office space
  • No need for an anechoic chamber
  • Measure 3-axis patterns in under 2 minutes
  • Base accuracy ±1 dB
  • Repeatability ±0.5 dB
  • Complete system includes all hardware and software
  • Optional heavy-duty table

Vector network analyser (VNA)-0440 (4GHz)

The MegiQ VNA-0440 is a compact vector network analyser that is used for measuring network and to carry out antenna optimisation on a professional scale. This system is a fully bi-directional 2 port VNA that is controlled from a computer using a USB connection. This device is affordable and provides all functionalities for antenna development, for low ISM and Wi-Fi band

This tool is ideal for measuring micro-circuits, such as antennas, matching networks, amplifiers, filters, power splitters etc. It can measure between 400 MHz to 4 GHz frequency. This device can detect frequencies of popular tele-communication ranges like GSM-GPRS-LTE, Wi-Fi, DECT, GPS, ISM, Zigbee, Bluetooth. Also, this device can examine a variety of wireless devices, like IoT devices, routers, phones, home automation products, electronic gadgets, tablets, laptops, RF-modules etc.

The MegiQ VNA-0440 has a compact design that allows it to measure smaller devices. Its unique design is perfect for on-site measurement and allows this device to be used near the antenna or inside a larger device. This system also comes with user-friendly PC software that is easy to use and allows control over the settings, storing data, and analysing reports. The VNA software has an integrated match circuit calculator that calculates a match circuit from the measurement and simulates this circuit in real-time.
