N jack crimp bulkhead for RG213

The connectors were delivered quickly and were packaged well and undamaged when opened. The connector quality was fine but when assembled I discovered that the centre pin was solder, not crimp. So pin was soldered on. That was ok. When I tried to crimp the sleeve, the crimp tool jammed. I had to break away the sleeve to release the crimp tool. Fortunately I was able to then release the crimp tool with no damage except the N connector was ruined. I ran my calipers over the connector body (2nd N I purchased) and found the braid crimp area too large for the crimper jaws, thus it jammed. I suspect the connector is designed for multiple cable use, and I have discovered not useable with standard crimp tool on RG213. Perhaps a purpose build crimp tool is available for this connector?

As these connectors are useless to me I purchased an alternate brand to complete this work. Its a shame really because the connector quality is not too bad. Regards, Garry Humphries
