If your Swann MaxRanger Wi-Fi HaLow system is struggling to reach the far corners of your property, this extender kit gives you the fix. Standard Swann setups rely on small rubber duck antennas sitting indoors, often boxed in by brick walls or metal roofing. That's fine for close-range coverage, but it puts a real ceiling on how far your cameras can talk back to the hub.
This kit lets you move the antenna outside and up high, where it belongs. It includes:
- 900MHz High-Gain Omni Antenna: tuned specifically for the Wi-Fi HaLow band (915 to 928 MHz in Australia), designed to replace the stock antenna and boost broadcast power
- 10 Metre Low-Loss Coaxial Cable (LMR195 equivalent): carries the signal from the antenna's outdoor mounting point back to the Swann Hub with minimal signal loss
- Mounting Bracket: for a secure, weatherproof install of the antenna outdoors, up high on a roof mast or similar elevated position
Because your Swann Hub has a standard RP-SMA external antenna port, connecting this kit is straightforward. Once the antenna is up on the roof with a clear line of sight, you'll notice a stronger signal (RSSI) to your cameras, fewer dropouts, and a real boost in usable range. Depending on terrain and obstructions, that can mean pushing well past the 100m manufacturers typically quote, with some setups seeing 200 to 300m or more.
