Teltonika RUTX12 is highly reliable and secure CAT6 Dual SIM 4G LTE router with Dual Band WiFi 5 802.11ac, GNSS and Bluetooth LE module. It is 2 modems in 1 casing. You can either use 2 SIM-cards from 2 different Network providers or use 2 SIM-cards from the same provider and get double speeds. E.g. if you are using 1 Telstra SIM and your download speed is 60 MB/s, by adding a second Telstra Sim, your download speed will be 120 MB/s.

The RUTX12 is Teltonikas most advanced enterprise cellular router. This device has two 4G LTE CAT6 mobile modems working simultaneously with load balancing functionality and is able to provide speeds up to 600 Mbps. As two mobile operators are providing connectivity to the device at the same time, it is possible to ensure uninterrupted service and leverage the connection quality between two mobile data providers. RUTX12 also has AC WiFi with 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands to provide connectivity for all your mobile devices on the yacht. In addition, 5 Gigabit Ethernet ports let you enjoy the maximum speed available for multimedia applications.

Load balancing is used to efficiently distribute the resources of multiple Internet service providers (ISPs) on one device among many clients and connections. Bonding is used to utilize the resources of multiple ISPs in order to achieve higher speeds for a single connection. Therefore, load balancing is usually used to provide better service to an entire network by distributing existing resources (such as a large WiFi network), while bonding is used where having the max speed for a single connection is required (such as video streaming or large file download).

Load balancing is way of distributing traffic over multiple connections. It does not bond the connections together, but distributes the available resources among clients and connections.

For example, in a network with 4 clients that have established 10 connections to the Internet each, 50/50 ratio load balancing can distribute this traffic equally over two different network interfaces using different ISPs. (Other ratios can be applied as well.)

Note: Teltonika-Networks devices do not support bonding.
